Belle Macabre by Crimson Syn

Struggled a bit.

I have been having some issues getting into paranormal books just now and this story being slightly different mde it take me a bit longer to get through it.

I did liked the characters and enjoyed the dynamics between them and love the writing I think it was just what I was feeling and would still recommend it to others I think that would enjoy it. It's just a little different than typical mc romance.

Twisted Steel Third Edition Anthology by Various Authors

Loved this.

Brings so many MC books into one there was some authors I have tried before but some new ones too I plan to make sure I read more of all of the authors work included. I'm pleased I can now say I have finished an anthology as honestly I'm not usually good at getting all the way through but I enjoyed this a lot and went back everytime got a chance. Very nice mix.

Worth The Trouble by J.L Leslie

Worth the read.

I got very invested in Sloan as a character and really felt for her as you learn more of her history. I loved that Bishop never got scared of his feelings even if there arguing at beginning it would have made sense. I feel like there could be more to this pair but I honestly think the fit together really well. I finished in just one sitting and will be one of my recommended Mc reads in the future.

Contract Of A Billionaire by Eva Winners

Amazing.

I have been intrigued on Alesso's story so I jumped into this as soon as I can. This was just as great as I imagined it could be and I couldn't put it down. There is some bits that may be triggering so if have any please check first but this billionaire mafia romance will defintely be on my recommended list and I think will be one I will reread soon too. I love the writing and I can't wait for more from the author in any series that she is writing.

Tethered To Him By Kylie Kent

Eek... Love this so much.

Ok so I gave been dying for this book and Ava to get her story after having the sneak peaks of her in other books. The writing is superb and the beginning was perfect start to get me engrossed even now so when realised that wasn't really the twist that was to come. I love Noah and Ava's relationship and they certainly get tested through this book. I didn't put it down reading it in one go. Will be on the recommend list for others especially those who love military romance with the sweet good girl mix. I can't wait for this authors next book and really hoping some MC may be in the future after Brents appearance in here too.

The Oracle by Serena Akeroyd

Another amazing read.

I loved this pair do much and I devoured this book. I however have been left as always needing more. There relationship certainly was different to what I thought was going to end up but it seemed to fit the characters well. I enjoyed getting peaks of characters from other books in the cross over and can't wait for all the books to come including the next gen that I'm hoping we see more from.

Breathing In Sin by E.C Land

Elijah's
usually all business even in his intimate relationships so it's interesting to watch that develop with his little sisters best friend Aspen when she comes to town avoiding her ex. I loved the dynamics of the characters and read in sitting. Looking forward to more of this authors books as have enjoyed everything previously read too.

Trista's Truth by K.L Ramsey

Oh yay Joel finally getting his story.

Meeting  him in Axel, 's book I was looking for him to get his love life sorted. Getting held up at gunpoint may not seem like the way to start a blind date that would go further but Joel had Trista seem to find a way. Really enjoyed this quick read and will be looking for authors next book as always.

Sins Of The Flesh by Erin Trejo

I wasnt really sure what to expect with this book when started. J having been through so much and Skylar went to the club specifically to work on trust issues. The pair seemed to fit together though and I was really wanting then to work through it all and didn't want to put down until the end. I enjoyed this as a quick read be looking at the others if I can too.

Isle Of Sin by S. Firecox

Glad Adalyn found her happy ending.

She had been through so much in her life and was still fighting back at same time she also seems so broken by it. However at Sinners Isle Asher seems to be determined to help her and keep her despite any consequences. This does have plenty of triggers but for a quick read I found that it seemed to work through these and deal with the story very well. I grew to care for these characters and finding myself hoping there will be more from Sinners Isle in the future.

Love Me by Ashley N Rostek

These just keep getting better and better.

I love this series do much and I couldn't put this down. The characters have my heart completely and the writing just drags me straight in. I screamed when it reached the end and honestly just want more and more of this author. The writing is great and definitely a fave author of mine that I would recommend for everyone to try. However there are of course trigger warnings for a reason so please if have any do check these first.

Keeping The Throne by Nicole James

Back again to Durango Chapter and I really love Rock.

Rock has really gone through hard time losing his Ol' Lady and in the previous books I really wanted him to find a happily ever after. Being that it is with the young princess of another MC who has had bad experience in previous relationship just happened to work. Evelyn is being kept safe by Rock and though they get off on a bumpy road I enjoyed their dynamic and hope to see them in future books.

Brick's House by Darlene Tallman

Great start to another chapter of RBMC.

There were bits I did get frustrated with the book and they spend a lot of the book separate but I still really enjoyed it and read it in one sitting. Got to see again some of my well loved characters from some of the other chapters but I was more than curious about these new guys. The ending has me dying for the next book even if had guessed some of the twists I still wanted more.

Found this a good quick read that has left me wanting more. Would be recommended for other MC Romance readers.

Raphael by Eva Winners

I love this book.

ok so I have got attached to all the mafia men and Raphael is no different. With a secret brother to help he still seems to be more focused on making the mum his family too.

Sailor is a blast from his past but due to trauma, she doesn't remember him and is not inclined to trust the man whose family helped destroy hers and is forcing her to marry him.

I couldn't put this book down and was desperate for this pair to get their happy ending. The whole book just has me wanting more and never wanting this world to end.

Love the author's writing and the world, so yes this will be one I will reommend and will be looking forward to the next book.

Jed by K.L Ramsey

Ah so good.

I enjoy this author's books I find them great quick reads. Jed being a lawyer I was expecting his trip to the woods to be different actually than what happened but still enjoyed it. In fact not being able to tell the story beforehand probably made it so I enjoyed it more.

Mercedes is the new neighbour and though they have trouble on first meeting you can tell that they need to be together. Bad news has Jed needing to go back to the city with Mercedes driving him and they seem to really work through their differences.

I finished this very quickly in one sitting and recommend it for those wanting those short easy reads but still with a little angst and feeling. Will look forward to the next in this series too plus more from the author in general.

The Book Of Uriel by Elyse Hoffman

Different.

Ok so I skip genres etc a lot but for historical WWII I have read a few and I was intrigued by this book being young adult. I didn't realise just how different it would be though and was pleasantly surprised.

This took Angels into a story of a horrific time giving a boy the ability to stay invisible from most of those who would hurt him. He has this ability so he can find a lost angel but has to undergo various tasks. Knowing this later I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did.

While religious elements it wasn't a religious book. It did take me some time to get used to the writing style used and I found it a little slow or unsure at the beginning but the story and characters had that not being a problem and kept me intrigued to the end.

I definitely think this was a unique read for me and it would be one I would recommend for others for sure. I'm very interested in what concepts the author may come up with for other books.

Chase Me Natalia Lourose

Hot.

Ok so I love this author so when saw the novella I knew had to read it. As I knew it would be it was too short lol. My only complaint is that I just wanted more. I really liked the characters even if was a short read which is unusual for me. Definitely, something to read for spicy quick read when you get the chance but do check the triggers for anything that you may not enjoy.

Bowie by Jules Ford

Amazing to find a new author that writes so good.

So I found the author after a co-written book I read and saw this was coming out been looking forward to it and fell in love with Bowie. He acts stupidly after a one-night stand and you can tell he will regret it even as he does it.

Layla is perfect for him but he gets scared of his feelings for her. She is crushed and has had a crush on him for a long time. I found myself relating to her well as she had low self-esteem and often let the small town treat her badly by not standing up for herself.

In Layla's instance, this is due to her past and not wanting any trouble for her daughter. Bowie however stands up for her and treats her like she deserves. With each instance, I loved him more and more.

This was an amazingly quick read that I definitely recommend for other small-town and MC readers. I am looking forward to the author's next book in the series already.

Mine To Hold by Paige Price in Wicked and Ruthless Anthology

Mine To Hold by Paige Price

This has to be one of my faves by this author I could have screamed at the end and can't wait for the next part for this couple as they have me hooked. I had skipped straight to this story after reading some of authors South Mafia Wars stories and glad I did I definitely need more from author. I will be going back amd reading others in the anthology now too.

Lust by K.L Ramsey

Another good read.

I love this series the couples fit so great and they are nice and quick do find them easy to get into and don't put down sane can be said for this one.

Carter Lust doesn't know quite what he's getting with Eloise but you can tell that they both are meant to be. I loved them as couple but I think what I enjoyed the most is Carter's interactions with his sister.

Can't wait for the next Deadly Sin Syndicate book.

Bloody Cruel Monster by Lucy Smoke

I liked this much more.

After the beginning of last book I wasn't sure on Clover was only nearer the end started to like her but this book I enjoyed her character much more. Not just that she felt like she would fit Braxton much better too so I'm glad we got to see her develop through this story.

It's hard though as can't really say much without spoiling what will say is I enjoyed very much. I didn't want to put down. I love this authors writing style and though more questions on the world as a whole I know I have another book to look forward to and not too long thankfully to wait.

Highly recommend this book but more than that the series as a whole.

Claiming Vanessa by Raissa Donovan and Addison Wolf

I jumped in here first and need more.

So thus was new to me authors and haven't read the sisters story so was worried would be a little lost but I wasn't at all. I'm looking forward to more from Vanessa and the guys there definitely feels like there is a lot more to the emotional side and plot to come out so I'm hopefully this series will just get better and better.

I recommend for those who like the darker side of men they certainly are for those who enjoy non con breeding rh. Not only am I looking forward to read of Vanessa's story but I know will be reading the connected series and more by these authors in the future.

Salvador by Paige Price

I'm loving these books.

Can't believe took me so long to find these as really enjoying them. These are perfect for quick Mafia reads. I read thus in one sitting. I really enjoy the writing and the connecting storyline.

Salvator and Cindy are great couple even if at first glance they are opposites and nice to see behind Cindy's facade and barbie doll persona she puts on.

I recommend this book but will say these do work best reading in order.

Saturday 3 September 2022

Juan Carlos by Paige Price

Still loving these characters.

So this continues on from after Augustin and Juan Carlos also fell hard for Sonja who was held and shipped with Isa. However Sonja has been working hard and trying to keep her distance more than Isa was and had went through more too.

Her self esteem is quite low from what she has been told and it is nice to see Juan Carlos help her see the truth. Reluctant females have always pulled me in especially where the men seem to know they want her rather than pushing away, so I really enjoyed them.

I also really like the writing style too and makes these a quick read that I don't want to put down. Definitely another that I will pass on to others to read. I'm already looking forward to jumping into the next book.

Violent Bones by Nikki Landis

Excellent

After reading the first part in the Harlots anthology I was so glad to see Twitchy and Bones story out.

I love Twitchy so much and honestly relationship with Bones while sudden seemed to work so perfectly I was dying for both to get there Happily Ever After with each other.

The writing was superb I love this author and only found due to RBMC I am always hoping for more and more with the ladies now getting there own mc it's even more to look forward to.

If you like some Paranormal mixed in with your Bikers you definitely need to give these a read.

Say It’s Forever by A.L. Jackson

Jumped straight in.

Ok so after Trents book I jumped straight in to his brother Jud's book without checking into it at all. Was worth it too.

If thought Trent was grumpy then Jed takes to another level while still seeming more approachable than his brother he hides his darkness and nightmares in a smirk and flirting really.

Where Selem is just hiding and constantly running.  They both really seem to compliment each other very well even as they both fight there feelings and Salem wanting to run.

Even as Some seem to not like the writing style of the author I found that it really drew me in and was exactly what I needed reading this.

I couldn't jump straight to the next one as it had few days till came out but definitely need to make sure read it soon. Definitely recommend this book too.

Give Me A Reason by A.L. Jackson

A few friends had been reading.

I didn't think I would be able to read due to my already long tbr list but after hearing few others talking I had to know more. I'm glad now I did.

The writing was different but so good I was hooked and didn't put down until I was finished. It wasn't what I was expecting at all either which I loved too.

This will be one that I pass on as a recommendation for sure grumpy/sunshine feels along with employee/boss relationship and single dad too I mean really I couldn't have asked for any more on my holiday. I can't wait to read more and jumping straight into the brothers book next.

Augustin by Paige Price

Oh so good.

Augustin feels a bit different than Dominic but if possible loved it even more. Plus still got to see more of Dominic and Mina which is always a good thing for a loved couple.

Augustin is getting involved to help Mina as she prepares to take back over and over throw her uncle. When hijacking one of his shipments though he meets Isa who was taken along with another girl.

Isa is sweet, nieve but also deaf which gives things an extra element to work around as they get to know each other and try and keep her safe.

Definitely be one I recommend and I'm looking forward to the next story as there is still unanswered questions etc at the end of it to role on to the next couple.

edge by Amy davies

Finally...

So while reading this series I was desperately waiting for Edge's book as it was often brought up that he was taken. He let Syn go, albeit brutally,  pushing her away so she would leave for university but as she is now done and coming home he's determined to get her back.

Syn has changed while away amd isn't the same nieve teen she was when she left. She however still can't get over Edge but she does try to keep away at least to start.

I was hooked from the start on there relationship and found thus was a great way to finish the series. Was glad to hear that there are more relating to the series though and next generation of the mc were getting a series too. Definitely Recommend this book and the series as a whole.

rookie by Amy davies

Rookie drove me a bit nuts In this. While it is explained to why he has issues with Della's dad being law inforcement i really wanted there to be more begging on his part after the way he treated her.

Della is obviously very sweet and quite different from the other ol' ladies but does still fit in too. Her self esteem issues especially I relation to her weight made me relate to her more amd seem more real. Think that's why I really wanted Rookie having a harder time before the forgiveness.

I read this again in one go similar to the other stories by the author that I found just recently. I definitely recommend these books for other MC Romance readers. This one specifically for age gap readers.

Derange's Destruction by j.lynn lombard

I was very curious on this book.

From before in other stories you met Jez and Derange and it had me really wanting there book and I'm glad to have read it.

Despite her former career Derange still cares for Jez and wants to keep her but both are fighting there own demons in the past. Working through it and Jez finally opening up to Derange and her son was nice to see.

I am looking forward for more from these guys hopefully in more of the RBMC books.

Dominic by Paige Price

I loved this book.

I don't know how I hadn't heard of this before now a d was only really thanks to a friend when mentioned love Mafia types that suggested it.

I adore Mina and Dominic through this and there seems to be so much more from then that I hope will see them through the series or get extra in future for sure.

This wasn't a typical Mafia story really it felt different though there was similar bits too. Was quite refreshing to see and Mina definitely isn't your average Cartel Princess either.

The writing had me gripped and definitely wanting more. For first book of this author I know I will be reading more. Definitely one I would recommend and I'm sure I will be rereading and possibly listening too as the sample of audio book had me instantly downloading.

The Consigliere by Serena Akeroyd

Oh my I need the next part...

OK so I knew this was going to be good and I knew it was a duet but damn I need the rest of this story so bad.

I love Aurora as she really isn't the typical Mafia sister and has the brains there and ruthlessness to get there families revenge even if having to do it from behind the scenes. Her personal life though she has had to hide too and as the council wants her to get married and Hunter now determined to get into her life it all starts coming to a head.

Having been friends that didn't quiet turn to enemies but definitely had distance and Aurora being meaner to Hunter it was great to see Hunter being her opposite in so many ways.

I love this authors books and thankfully the next part doesn't have long until it releases as the ending of this had me screaming out loud that it was over. I definitely recommend this and the full Five Points World really. They are all including this ones I will reread.

The Exception by Eva Winners

Different from my other reads.

Well from this author anyway. I have read and loved her Mafia novels and thoroughly enjoyed reading this Billionaire Romance from her too.

Kristoff not wanting a relationship tries to get Gemma to work for him and contract additional activities so he can have no emotional attachments. The single mother tries to refuse even though her body may want him but is blackmailed into at least being in his proximity.

Both of these characters have been hurt in the past and watching there interactions had me not wanting to put it down. I look foreword to more of this authors Billionaire books now and definitely recommend to others.

Villainous Kingpin by Eva Winners

Oh wow.

Another amazing read by an amazing author. I love the writing so I did think this would be a hit and it certainly is. I was hooked from start to finish.

Being the quiet sensible of the group of crazy girls I was eager to read Wynters story and being a Mob/Mafia Romeo and Juliet I definitely needed that happy ending for her and Basilio.

For other Mafia readers then if haven't read yet then I really feel this needs to go on your read list. Though there are some warnings to check if you do have triggers please check.

Brutal Princess by Kylie Kent

Another amazing read.

This author quickly became a must read for me and this book just reminds me why.

I love Neo and Angelica there interactions are amazing and how they woman is the reluctant one in starting a relationship is refreshing too. Add in Neo taking on her daughter Izzy as his own so easily it was great.

I was hooked the whole way through and didn't put it down. It has me needing more from the whole world already which is the only downside I can see as I will need to wait.

Highly recommend for this book and the authors other work. This along with her others are also on my reread lists too as just so good!

The Grayson Duet by Catherine Wiltcher

Excellent.

This brings two amazing books together to tell Joseph and Anna's story in one.

After meeting them in the Santiago Trilogy I was dying to know more and for them to get there happy ending. This book seriously had me not wanting to put it down even as my heart broke for the pair of them.

Their journey certainly wasn't an easy one but I'm glad they managed to find each other as they seem to fit each other so well even if basically they are opposites.

The writing and the characters are phenomenal. It was great getting to see the Santiago's and the gang again. I can't help from wanting more from the whole world as I love them all.

Definitely going on my recommended list.

By Claire

Gabriel's Deception by C.A Rene

Whitsbourgh is back.

It's a very bittersweet ending to the progenies and I live in hope there might be more or least sneak peek back at these characters.

Gabriel's always kind of been on the sidelines of the books and I can't say I wasn't curious.

This book brings back an old character from the original Whitsbourgh chronicles which is awesome especially with the twist of his history entwining in another series.

Being MM and Age gap with bit of forbidden romance and secrets this had me engrossed from the very beginning to the end.

For those who like those things this definitely has to be on the tbr list if it's not already.

While sad to see end to the series I look forward to what the author might come up with next.

Rogue by Sinclair Kelly

Damn.

Series just gets better and better. This drags me in and has me desperate for more of all the characters.

It's definitely slower maybe than some but I love how the characters develop through it and I adore Remy as a character.

Her history means she's a very mix In personality and behaviour especially with the guys bringing out softer more emotional side she obviously has been avoiding.

Seeing Rogue helping with her mission I thought this story would have been different tbh before I read but as I said it certainly wasn't a disappointment for it to be this way instead of what head was trying to create.

One thing grateful for though is Squire finally moving out of the friend zone as through book one I just wanted to scream that it wasn't on the cards yet.

The relationship brings a different dynamic too as the other guys all being in same MC and friends I'm interested in what might happen in these books,

Definitely Recommend for sure and can't wait now for Ace after that ending.

Bloody Cruel Psycho by Lucy Smoke

Damn.

I knew this would be hard being a duet but I still screamed as I got to the end and realised will have to wait.

Braxton has been so quiet in the books you realise he's unhinged by his history and doesn't care for anyone really but the guys and now their girls who he wants to keep protected.

He took such an instant liking though to Avalon and there relationship amd how perceived, especially by Clover, was interesting.

Clover took a while to grow on me but think it's more her not letting that dark side out which is hiding beneath the surface the closer gets to breaking free the more I began to like her character.

I want more. I'm dying knowing have couple months to wait here. Definitely you are going to want to read this series if like darker side of romance.

By Claire

Wicked Dark Heathens by Lucy Smoke

Oh my. I loved Abel and Rylie before but so much more now.

Abel has been used by his dad to seduce women for business but his relationship even from the beginning really is different and you get to see his softer side.

As the joker he might have seemed the most approachable but always knew it was front and he had darker side just like rest of the boys.

Rylie as an amazing female hacker had my attention but this book sees her grow and fills with more confidence and those snippets of attitude she threw out occasionally with Avalon come more to the front.

I really enjoyed this series and just has left me still wanting more looking forward to Braxton getting his story than ever.

By Claire

Spinning Gold by Sofia Aves

Oh wow.

So this is different from the authors previous worth that I have read. It's a bit darker and I loved it.

I honestly can't wait for more from the MC series. I liked the characters and how they complimented each other.

My one complaint is it was over too quick. I read in one sitting and was ready for more. Definitely need to check this out, I will be watching for the next one for sure.

Atone by Cassandra Robbins

Oh David...

My heart really breaks for David and everything he's been through and just knew Charlie would be perfect for him.

He spends so much time fighting not to have her and not believing he should or can be happy.

While she seems quite confused at a lot of it and while no Eve to be so hurt and still stand wanting him she obviously has her own strength.

As much as you wish they never had to go through all this you know they wouldn't be who they are if they hadn't as well.

There story had me engrossed and loved the writing so much. I'm officially hooked on this series. Not only will it be on my recommend list it will also be one I know will be rereading as well.

MC Romance lovers looking for a new series or book then if haven't read these your really have too.

Can't wait to read Edge and Dolly's story soon either.

Alexei by Eva Winners

Oh my.

I loved the sound of this before I read and honestly it both was and wasn't what i expected. It also was so much more.

This series has been so good and Alexei we knew had been through so much from bits in other of the authors work but getting more of it was so good especially getting him his happy ending. Even if it was a tough one.

Aurora being an FBI agent with history we needed to work through just made me hooked to this forbidden romance.

The writing was again amazing and has me wanting more of the authors writing I look forward to whatever may come next.

For Mafia type readers who like some forbidden agent action with age gap then do make sure that this is on your tbr list.

Ignite Me by R.E Bond

Ohh wow...

I just loved this book so much after last ones I had such high hopes and it didn't in anyway disappoint.

I love the characters, especially Rory, and writing so much. This book wrapped the group up very nicely and I'm glad we are getting more from the other characters as I am in no way ready to let go.

Highly recommended series for sure for RH lovers with strong female lead character. Bring on the next one.

By Claire

Beautiful Deceit by R.E Bond

I struggled more with this one but still dying for more.

This book picks up couple months after the end of the last and Rory is definitely struggling in this one. She has gone through so much and honestly I love her but there were times when I really wanted to give her a shake.

They guys are similar especially the original 4 from school they seemed like they were growing up and getting a grip but more immaturity in this that makes me wonder.

Thank god the crews are there for sure they are all such tough guys but seem to crumble for her so get to see that soft side they hide so well.

There are twists and turns that kept me hooked throughout though and so attached to the series I am definitely wanting more. Have such high hopes for book 4. Definitely read this series if haven't already and are OK with RH and MM.

By Claire

Twisted Fate by R.E Bond

I just want to fall into this world and never leave.

Rory deals out even more attitude and holds her own against all the guys. The men did have some parts where they annoyed me and was desperately waiting for Rory to get her own back on them.

There was also some new faces that I'm really hoping we get to see more of.

This book takes me all over the place and has me desperate for more. So I'm thankful book 3 is out as jumping straight in.

Definitely a series I recommend so far loving it.

By Claire

Masked Innocence by Sawyer Quinn

So glad read.

This was first from the author for me but I needed a quick read and knew this was just a short prequel.

It was just a little tease but I can't wait now for the full story. I loved the writing style of it and definitely of the steamy variety for a prequel especially.

Looking forward to more from the author too definitely need to check out another book soon as well as the other prequels I know that have been planned.

Cassio by Eva Winners

These just get better and better.

Cassio's life changed once when he rescued a little girl and when he meets her again as an adult you know straight away that it is going to again. What's good is so does he.

However as she has been suppressing her memories and runs her own side deals it's interesting watching the story unfold.

I was hooked and loved this I hate picking favourites in series and books in general but this one definitely was a hit.

I will continue to recommend and wait on the next one of the Belles and Mobsters series to come out. I honestly can't wait.
