Cruz by Serena Akeroyd

So many questions answered with so many new ones added!

I have loved all the Sinners and have been dying to find out bout others that we have seen bits about. Cruz I wanted to read solely to find out more bout Indy really but once I started I knew that it was more than that.

Cruz also had such a complicated story and his life was one that might not have been the worst. Especially when we go into the book that Indy was abused as a child. However, there was still plenty of lessons to be learned along the way and I'm pleased they found each other.

The world created and entwined with other books in Serena's universe is so well done.  I love the complex characters with the breadcrumbs to what's going to happen in the series later. It keeps you guessing and wanting more.

I have never been more greatful for an author being so quick at writing and releasing books until this year. I cannot wait for more! Explosive book with an ending that means I will be counting down the days (and minutes) for Maverick to be released in November.

I highly recommend to those who enjoy MC romance along with the others in the series if you haven't read them yet. There is big warning with this one due to Indy's history so may not be for everyone. Think about that before reading as although I found well written it can be upsetting and difficult read.

Forgotten and found

3 Excellent books in One...

Serena Akeroyd is an amazing author and I love the Dark and Dirty Sinners's MC Series so much. Therefor when I saw the first 3 books, Nyx, Link and Sin, where being released as a boxset I jumped at the chance to buy.

The world that Serena writes in is so tightly interwoven and although not part of the series it brings in other books she has written. It makes it so much more complex and real.

There is drama and heartbreak in the characters lifes but it seems to make me so much more involved in their stories. I am dying for them to get there Happily Ever After and they find their perfect matches.

Strong men need a strong women and that's what we find here. They are all different and strong in there own way which I love.

I highly recommend this Boxset to get everyone started in an amazing MC world. I have also wrote individual reviews for the three stories contained here if want to see further information on the stories, along with my views.

Wreaking Havoc by Harley Stone

After meeting Havoc while he was im jail on attempted murder charges, in Link’d Up, I knew that that would take a hell of a woman to be his perfect match.

That's exactly what he finds here when he goes to bookstore to find out why his flowers keep dying. The bookstore owner, Julia, had left behind her life of privilege and manipulation after she found out her husband was cheating on her.

In no way is she meek and mild mannered which you may pressume when you read walked away but that was after taking a shot gun to her Ex. Only the kick back and her poor aim stopped it from being attempted murder and him alive.

With her sister getting married she is about to be thrown into her old life and circle of friends Julia is I need of a date who won't let her walk all over him. So she invites Havoc as her plus one and offers to have her parents gardener help with his gardening in return.

I loved the fact Julia shot her ex husband rather than just allowing him to walk all over her like other privileged young women around her would have. However,  she does seem to say more about her violent history than anything else and at parts did start to get on my nerves.

Havoc only just few months out of jail seems to not think through going to a wedding where the guests ran in the same circle as the rapist he attacked which to me seems quick sure way to get into trouble.  I also like that even after Julia gives him silent treatment that he doesn't just walk away.

Julia's Ex husband is definitely creepy and deserves to be shot but I'm not sure how despite being very intelligent that she didn't at least see some of his bad traits before she did.

All in all I didn't have the same love for it as first book but certainly won't put me off from reading the rest in the series.

Link'd Up

Wow! An amazing start to what I'm hoping will be an amazing series.

Link is the Prez of the Dead Presidents MC and a member of his club, and best friend, is currently in jail for attempted murder charge. Its now Links job to get him back his freedom.

However, the victim is the mayors son so they won't take in to consideration that Havoc only attacked because he was raping a young girl at the time.

Conveniently the girl has disappeared so there is no one to corroborate his story either. Link therefor needs to find an excellent lawyer to help him win the case and get Havoc out of jail.

Emily Stafford is just the lawyer that can win the most impossible of cases and has her own moral compass that makes her fight for the underdog in cases that no one else tends to take never mind win. Link has the hots for her from the get go and you can see that it is reciprocated.

So what is stopping them? Well it is in someways easy to see whats holding them back. Actually in this case it's really only her back. Emily has just not long separated from her Ex after he cheated on her and to say she has trust issues is putting it mildly.

Link has to build her trust in him and the MC if anything is to happen with them. Its certainly interesting the way this has been done as it tends to be the men in MC lifestyle that are unsure of a relationship and dealing with trust issues. Therefore I really enjoyed having something different from the typical MC Romance books.

The other thing that set the book from all the rest I have read so far was that they weren't the bad boys or even the bad boys with a heart that tended to have their own moral code within the MC.

The Dead Presidents are not one-percenters, they are all ex military who are dedicated to helping other military vets readjust to society. For me this hooked me from first hearing about the books and that hasn't changed since I finished Link'd Up.

This was first from the author for me but I will be catching up with the others in this series. I recommend to all those MC Romance fans or in fact any Romance readers.

Birdie's Biker by Misty Walker

Mixed thoughts but overall I decided that I did like the book.

This book had me going back and forward in how I felt and I gave it time and reread before writing this review.

Birdie's Biker is set in the Reno chapter of the Royal Bastards MC who's usual money maker is murder for higher.
However, when they are offered much more money to retrieve a vial back from an old enemy president Loki and the club decide its to good an opportunity to pass up.

Bridgette or later known as Birdie becomes the deal breaker as her father wants the bikers to keep her safe while they do the job for him.

Bridgette is the typical spoilt rich kid. Shallow even with her friends and used to getting her own way.

I found her too whiney at times but she definitely had a fire there to fight and she genuinely wanted not to lose her father. There was hidden depth and as the book goes on there was a change in her.

Loki sick of babysitting her and her trying to escape decides to place her in a cage in his bedroom. He seemed determined to break her.

For 35 he seemed rather immature but then again he is male so part of that's expected. I found him really hard to feel much for his character. It seemed all very shallow and that I was missing something.

The story had a flow I could see where it was going and in that sense it worked more than I expected and more than I found in the first read.

I just would have liked to be more involved with Loki and Bridgette both as individuals and as a couple.

I can see where others may have an issue with certain aspects especially caging Birdie but it did seem to have a place with some darker MC books. In that respect I wouldn't have an issue recommending to others.

My only warning is for those who cannot read anything with rape and sexual assaults as this does come into it. Though not by Loki I wouldn't want anyone that has these issues to read unawares.

First time reader of Misty I will look for some more in the future.

Blaze of Honour by Khloe Wren

Woohoo Royal Bastards reach Australia!

I have really been loving the Royal Bastards which I begun in the second run. The tour of the American MC chapters has been great.

Blaze of Honour however goes to a new level where we see there power reach all across the Pacific to Southern Australia.

The power also has double meaning here when Australia is burning with Supernatural fires. RBMC brother Spark (King Tuts Royal Bastard) is called in by his blood brother to use his affinity to fire to help them.

Brianna our lead female for the book has been raised in seclusion since she had an accident as a child. She finds out a dark secret regarding her father that has caused her to run out on her own.

Storms and lightning seem to be following her and she doesn't know what's going on or even where she is by the time she meets Spark and his fellow brothers.

There's instant attraction between the pair but I do like that Brianna is still wary and untrusting of them to start. It feels more plausible and makes me like the character more.

All the characters are well written and we get little details or lines of intrigue on the other brothers that are there to help the pair that made me instantly know I wanted More and More of this world and this Author.

I was little disappointed there wasn't a little more time for the relationship of Spark and Brianna to blossom. But it did work and I'm hoping with the author continuing this as a series I might get a little more from the pair as well.

This was a strange twist that mixed MC life with a paranormal romance, mystery and some Ancient Egyptian history, gods and religions.

I would definitely recommend as they all came together better than I could ever imagine. Definite hit.

Lean In by Deja Voss

Oh god, I'm so shocked.

Lean In brings the Royal Bastards MC to Pittsburg and the Prez, Bruiser and his son the VP Lean are to visit the Gallo Mansion to try and work out a deal with the Cartel.

Lean is not happy about being there or negotiating the family especially Catarina. When he hears banging he ignores Catarina's excuses and opens a closet door.

The closet which Mani falls out of in the middle of a panic attack. She was put there in punishment by her step siblings along with suffering other tortures so that she can keep her littlest sister Ella, who has cystic fibrosis, safe.

I love how Lean instantly claims Mani without even realising it but knows that she is meant to be his.

Mani grows to be a great stong women through the book. Her inner strength can be seen at beginning so nice that it came out the forefront of her personality.

The things is that I think it happened a little to quick. I would expect more and feel something is missing to making this story astounding.

Lean also seems to have a issue with bits missing from making his story that could form a complete character.

The storyline is well thought on and something unique for me. I found myself unable to put the book down until it was finished.

There was then an epilogue that I nearly missed as the book had said the end. Thankfully I didn't as it's got another bit to a cliffhanger ending that has me wanting more.

Can't wait to see what Deja Voss does next with this. She is a new author for me but certainly one that I will be looking for more to read from in the future.

Worth The Risk by J.L Leslie

Rules might have meant to be broken but doesn't mean there won't be consequences.

Worth The Risk has multiple tropes that will appeal to the majority of MC readers including forbidden and second chance romance with brothers best friend.

A brief look at 5 years before for Skylar and Jake. It shows what could be a great start to a relationship they both want. That is until Jake gets a call and leaves Skylar behind.

She lives her life for the next 5 years without knowing where he is and her brother having never returned either. Until now as she buries her father and is getting evicted from their family home.

Her brother, Hunter, takes her back to the Royal Bastards MC clubhouse of the Birmingham Chapter of which he is now a member. He never meant to bring her into this life but he needs to protect her.

When Jakes also at the bar when she walks in she realises that he has been with her brother all along. I knew that I was immediately engrossed as soon as she threw a punch at him.

Skylar as a character was a mixture of a strong women who is also a bit nieve and trusting. But she also is willing to fight for what she wants. Just needs to decide wither that is Jake or not.

Jake seems a bit weak willed at times but you can clearly see he has feelings for Skylar. He's kept what happened secret from Hunter all these years and knows especially now that he's in the MC there is no chance of Hunter giving his blessing if he wanted a relationship with her.

Unfortunately that's what he needs in the MC if he wants to be with her. Birmingham Chapter had a rule against anything happening with the family members of fellow brothers unless get the brothers permission and they vote on it at Church.

With all that your kepts wondering if they can ever fix what was crushed by Jake just as it was blossoming.

However, its topped off with gambling debts of Skylar and Hunters dad that also could cause them to be in danger. This gives it a slight mystery in the background as well as few other bits that I couldn't possibly give away that made the story for me.

Another interesting RBMC book I am really enjoying these and think will be starting the first run after I get through these ones as they all are amazingly different.
