You get to me Ransom in Revenge which I read just before this one. It gave a little bit of an introduction to the character who is actually from the Westside Sculls and was just visiting.
I was very intrigued so was so happy to see this book was next and jumped straight in.
Ransom got his road name due to the fact he was kidnapped as a child. I'm sure that it is completely understandable therefore that he has had some problems with his mental health which have got worse since he returned from the Southside in the last book.
When he takes some time alone up to his parents cabin he meets Luna. She has been left on the driveway after being attacked and has no memory of what happened.
While Luna starts to physically get better her the pair get closer. However, her memories are still coming back in bits and pieces.
This gives us readers a mystery of trying to figure out what happened to her to keep us interested if need something other than just romance. To top it off though Ransom also starts digging into his past as well to see if can help him move forward and be happy with Luna.
I enjoyed this one so much as seemed so much more to it and felt more complete rather than like was missing something. It has set my resolve to read more by Jessie Cooke and will be starting at the beginning of series soon as I can fit it in.
