Path Of Redemption by S P Dawes

I have found this a hard review to write.

Path Of Redemption has a great plot and the twists kept me wanting more.

Callie is working hard to raise her 2 boys on her own after her husband died on the field. He was being mourned as a hero by everyone but her. Her kids have been growing up believing the stories they have heard but Callie has been keeping the abuse she suffered at his hands a secret.

Callie is a strong women who has picked herself up after his death to look after her boys and build a life for them and they have been her primary focus. Is she ready to move on now though?

I really liked Eddie as a character he is genuinely a nice, caring man. When Callie bumps into him in a chance meeting your hoping that she will take the chance on him.

Then the twists and turns really kick in. They seem to have a shared history that's coming back to haunt them.

The story had me hooked and I really felt for the characters. I hadn't realised there are other books on other characters featured until after I finished. This made me happy as I liked them but certainly the book can be read as a standalone.

My main issue I had with the book was the editing I think. It was a bit of a put off with the mistakes. Shame as kinda ruined the story a bit. Thankfully the plot itself had me so intrigued and keeped me reading.

***edit*** cover amended. Also author has confirmed that this has now been edited as well!
