Sweet Temptations: The Babysitter by L.M Mountford

This was a quick novella read of a man who cheats on his wife with the babysitter so for those who can't stand cheating in a book be warned.

The start of this book starts at an office party and seemed like there might be a bit of a story that was building but by the time he gets home really its a just a quick sex scenes that made me feel like I was missing something completely when the story ended.

The Babysitter was not underage but few years older so that was a plus but was done all from the mans point of view. Even with that I didn't find him likeable or engaging in the least.

I think this may be as been split into sections but for me it hasn't grabbed me enough for to rush and read the next installment.

Overall wasn't really for me.

Court of Crimson by Helen Scott and Lucinda Dark

Court of Crimson is the first in the Twisted Fae series and the first I have read of the author and I can't believe I have waited as long.

The story finds us in the middle of a war between the Fae and Humans at a human orphanage that has been the home to Cress for 21 years.

Things quickly changes when a castle appears from nowhere and Cress stumbles upon the 3 princes that rule it.

She may not be human either and as she faces death if she is I was hoping that she would pass the tests to prove she is in face a changeling (a fae child left behind as a human).

I found that I quickly loved Cress as she was such a sassy female who had always been outspoken and a rule breaker. They guys were all so different and I want to get to know them.

The authors have done a great job a  setting up this intricate world with fab characters which has left me eager for more.

Definitely on my recommend list for those who enjoy Paranormal Romances.

The Violinist of Auschwitz by Ellie Midwood

An amazing story of who seemed to be an amazing woman.

I have read a lot of these books and I wasn't sure how the author would be able to really get me interested without it seeming to be a repetition of other books. However, Ellie Midwood's amazing writing just sucked me straight in.

Alma Rosè was a famous Violinist before the war and when she was sent to Auschwitz she becomes the conductor to the inmates musical team and sets to make the orchestra Impeccable to try and save them from the gas chambers.

The characters sprung to life of the page and I was completely absorbed and felt great admiration of such a strong women.

Ellie showed how strong Alma needed to be to try and get her girls through the war and even when seemed was pushing them too much that it was for a good reason and you were still able to see her caring heart throughout.

A heartbreaking story that is based on a real person so if have triggers or don't like sad stories this obviously isn't for you.

For those who do like to read historical books especially centred around Auschwitz then this is one that needs to be added to your list.

Embrace the Darkness by Ashley N. Rostek

Oh my what a book !!

I have heard such great things about this book but after previously being let down I went in feeling very skeptical. But my oh my it didn't come close to disappointed Ashley completely blew me away.

My obsession was right from the first line right the way to the end which I stayed up well into the early hours of the morning to keep reading.

I just love Maura and here confident, crazy and defient ways. Being a woman who's grown up in the Irish Mob would have broken so many women but her strong willed nature just has me waiting to see what crazy antics she's going to come out with next.

The men in the book all brought there own personalities to the story. I think I liked them each in their own way but damn I need a Jamie in my life!

The Ending nearly had me having heart palpitations and screaming for the next book. Thankfully not long to wait for Endure the Pain but certainly the bar has been set high for it.

Any Mob and Mafia romance readers who appreciate a strong princess should definitely get this added to the top of their to be read lists.

Luring Light by KE Osborn

So much better than I thought it could be.

I have enjoyed KE Osborn's other RMBC books and was interested to see how this would go with Void actually having and showing emotions for Ivy. Her writing and characters in this though had me going through rollercoaster emotions and not able to put it down.

I am keeping this short as I don't want to give anything away at all but I can't help but say I love Ivy and her darker emotions and glad to see this pair have made it together and are happy.

I look forward to seeing more of them in upcoming books in the series and more of KE Osborn's writing. I have no issues recommending this to any MC Romance readers but if have any triggers definitely look out for any warnings.

Maverick

I love Mav but Ghost is my hero.

I am keeping this review short as everything I tried to write it up I have ended up spoiling something.

Serena Akeroyd is an amazing author but she also knows how to break my heart at the same time. After some more shocking revelations in Cruz I wasn't sure what more could be done to hurt my aching heart.

Well I should have known better as Serena has to be the Queen to rollercoaster emotions and mystery.

Maverick let's us in on some secrets but those well placed crumbs just means we know there is so much more to come in the Dark and Dirty Sinners MC and Filthy Feckers series and I for one cannot wait!

This has become a highly recommended book in a series I seem to be annoying everyone into reading as it is just so good. If haven't started already then absolutely get started even with the tears shed it's completely worth it. Mav is so lucky to have found Ghost.

Taming Bull by Harley Stone

Much anticipated book finally here.

Ever since meeting Bull in Link’d Up when he first joined the MC I wanted to know more. Plus I really wanted him to find someone to love as well and Harley Stone delivered.

Taming Bull shows Lily's fight to get out of the "friend" zone and Bull to stop fighting his attraction for her.

Lily has been through so much after being raped and meeting the MC when they tracked her down to testify and free Havoc from jail. Instantly I knew I would want them to be happy together as I already cared for both of the characters.

Bull's history is whats causing him to push Lily away and as I learned more about his past my heart could have broken for him.

As always though author came through big time so that they could get there happy ending but the journey itself was a great read.

This series has been one of my favourite and I can say I would still recommend both this book and the whole of the Dead Presidents MC Series.

By Claire

Devil's Ride by Nikki Landis

I just love Grim even more now.

I knew there was so much more to learn and Nikki Landis does amazing job here in Devil's Ride to fill in the blanks.

The book starts by showing us how Grimm and the club became who they are as well as his first encounter with Tricia. Then the story is of them finding each other again.  This can be hard to fit in the book but this felt the flow was just right.

Tricia has had always looked after herself and I loved that when she is seeing Grimm that she still wants to remain independent and fights for that. We need more women like this.

Grimm is harder to explain as don't want to spoil the story but I loved this character so much and his devotion to Tricia just made me melt. He had my interest from the previous books but now I understand him and his actions so much better.

This book is a must read for those who enjoy MC Romance although like most books there are a few things that may be a trigger for some readers.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

Double the Mistletoe by K.L Ramsey

Just whats needed to put me in the Christmas spirit.

Going home for the holidays can be stressful so we have a lovely novella here of Winter and her best friend Chris going back home to there home town.

However, Chris has made a plan to be Winters fake boyfriend that not only does he want to make real he wants to also include his Ex and friend Like as well.

Thats had me laughing which was exactly what I wanted but I also really felt for the three main characters. K.L Ramsey again created an amazing story but the best job was in making me want the characters to all be together.

Highly enjoyable quick read I was disappointed that it had to end. Any reader who enjoys a Ménage storyline and doesn't mind MM should definitely read Double The Mistletoe this Christmas.

By Claire

Double Crossed by K.L Ramsey

This is by far a favourite Ménage book for me.

Can't believe has took me so long to read this but wow I'm glad I have now. K.L Ramsey has done a great job with the writing and I loved the characters.

Ellie is our lead FC, she is a lawyer who thinking she may be in danger climbs a mountain just as a snow storm is coming to get her ex's, Nash, help. On the way she helps a stranger West and takes him with her.

I struggle to write the review so that I don't give too much of the story away but I will try here. The 3 of them for me had me gripped throughout and I was desperately wanting them to be together and make it through there issues.

The storyline was so well executed and my investment in them had me not putting the book down from start to finish. I even forgot to eat, which trust me does not happen all that often!

For any booklovers who enjoy a romance book and is ok with a Ménage as well as MM action should absolutely give this a read.

Double Bossed by K.L Ramsey

My oh my just what I need.

Sexy single twin bosses are definitely what I want and exactly what got here.

Ariana is new to town and only recently started as her new job as personal assistant to the brothers Justin and Jarrod.

Like any women she has had fantasies about the brothers but she needs this job as a single mum and never really thought anything would happen.

This menage was a great read and I really enjoyed it. Especially as you heard about the twins interactions and fondness for Ariana's son Milo.

Slightly disappointed was a abrupt ending and epilogue wasn't regarding the threesome but definitely still on my recommend list.

By Claire

Bear Outlaws by Lilly Wilder

I loved the promising storyline of this book.

Triplets and bear shifters all in one then top in bikers I mean this was something I knew I needed to read.

Single mum of two and nurse Jen is assigned to work on  Frank, one of the triplets, and his brother Wes instantly seems to fall for her. Jared and Frank don't seem to be far behind.

I loved the beginning of this book and the complex characters that seemed well woven together. The authors steamy scenes really kept me reading for more.

Unfortunately there really didn't seem to be any "bears" in it which was a little disappointing.

However,  the further into the book I got the more rushed it started to feel and got very confused about where it was going until all of sudden it was done.

I really was let down by the time I got to the end and not sure I could really recommend to anyone. I would still try another book by the author in the future as like I said the beginning really was a hit with me so would be good to know what else there was.

Betting on Stocks

Oh how I love Monica.

OK so I loved just the glimpse of Monica that we got in Landing Eagle. A sassy strong and dedicated woman so when I read this my heart broke for her.

I started laughing about her initial interactions with Stocks and Crying when her accident ruined her dreams.

It was a rollercoaster of emotions and I just felt completely drawn in to this book. Harley Stone wrote so well that I couldn't put it down and was completely involved in their story.

Stocks and Monica were ideal partners and he done a great job at getting her to realise this and helping her get a new reason for living.

Hard to say too much without spoiling it for others but I will say no matter how much I have enjoyed the series this by far is my favourite.

A must read for all romance readers!

Unleashing Hound by Harley Stone

Hound is an inspiration.

The brief glimpse we had of Hound in the previous books was of him at his worst. He had been reduced to drug and alcohol addiction to try and cope with pain management.

This book looks at not long after he gets out of rehab and is trying to do his best prospecting for the club. Its clear he is still struggling and that doesn't really feel he fits in. In that respect I really found it to be  unique as all the others had there quirks but weren't really shown like this.

Having pain issues myself I found great character details throughout this book. Also in awe of Harley Stone for her writing, there are so many injured soldiers out there and this looked at one that even though wasn't through battle still had to struggle.

There is also very telling note of how getting painkillers that didn't necessarily help much was so much easier and covered by the insurance. Where as CBD oil wasn't covered and was non addictive so was better for him which is a real struggle for so many people.

Morses Cousin Mila is in trouble and has come for help. She's another strong woman who is used to life alone and looking after herself. There was some amazing details into her and Morses history as children I would love to know more about!

I found the pair completely fit together despite their differences and that's why I think I have enjoyed this series so much. Even at book 8 I am still interested in what is to come. This series is a must read and looking forward to the next book.

Sinners Playground

Oh my god I think I literally screamed out loud at this book!

Sinners Playground is set ten years after the prequel Devil's Pass and Rogue is back in Sunset Cove.

I loved Rogue so much in this as even though she loved these guys and definitely lusts after them she still keeps fighting and standing up for herself. She's so sassy and found myself laughing at her antics.

Think its important too that she wants to stand on her own two feet even if that's not what the men of the Harlequin Crew want.

All the boys have changed and grown and the differences in them were amazing to see. In my own way I want them all but think only one really liked with any consistency is JJ.

I knew the ending was going to be cliffhanger but this has sent me through the ringer. It has put me in a book slump as well as taking me time to write this review as all I want is book 2.

Can't wait for the next one to come out and have been recommending to all that will listen. Its a long one but so worth the rollercoaster ride it takes you on.

Breaking Spade by Harley Stone

Another great installment from The Dead Presidents MC.

I have been just loving binging this series and no clue why I hadn't read it before now. Love the writing and all the characters even though they vary greatly.

We got to meet Jessica through her roommate Carly in Trapping Wasp and this shows a bit of where this book mainly starts, well where she meets Spade.

She had allowed a single mother and young mum to move in plus helped with babysitting so I knew would love her to get a happy ending. But Jessica is quiet and reserved unlike most of the other strong women we have seen so I wasn't sure how this would be.

Spade is polar opposite and very up front and straight forward guy I actually was nearly in fits of laughter while I was reading some of his antics just at how embarrassed Jessica got.

Again one thing love in these books as that even though its centred round an MC they are all amazing guys that served their country and now get to meet women perfect for them. Even if don't always see it to start with, or that could be the jealousy talking, by the end I just know they are meant to be.

With all this series so far I am recommending to all those who will listen. Still a few more for me to catch up on in the series so that I am up to date so next review will come very soon!

Tap'd Out by Harley Stone

Mysterious Tap secrets finally revealed...

Well some of them are anyway i'm sure he has plenty more. Was so surprised at so much about Tap because he has been so quiet. This was amazing to read.

Sasha I just loved from the beginning even as a police officer but she was willing to break the rules for the sake of others.

I will say this has trigger warnings that if you have anything you find too upsetting you should make sure to check out so you can find out if this is for you.

Thing I loved most though was the ladies banding together and wanting to help others but in their own way.

I'd recommend to MC Romance readers. I am loving this series as with the men helping others not funding themselves through a lot of illegal means like most clubs.

Can't wait to see what happens next!

Ascension by Lara Tramell

Ariana's story continues...

The book quickly picks up a few weeks after Creation ends, when Ariana gets home from her trip. It gives the beginning of her journey of becoming a Tantric Priestess and background into this unique world.

I found this book got me even more invested in Ariana's life and really was an emotional roller coaster ride through the story.

I did find the pace of this slightly slower and seemed a lot was for background and showing us the world that she is part of and that of Tantric Creatures. So not necessarily as action packed as this First book.

I still love the uniqueness of this book and the characters really draw you in wither I love or hate them. I can't wait now for book 3 and really hope to see her ex husband get what is coming to him!

Definitely recommend that those who enjoy Paranormal Romance get this and Creation read before the next novel is released.

This Love Hurts by Nikita

Outstanding debut novel.

I really can't believe this is the first book this author has wrote it is really amazing. So well written and amazingly developed characters that draw you into the story wanting more.

I will say read the warnings and if you have triggers be careful this book has so many! It is definitely of the darker side of dark romance so if not for you stay clear, otherwise this is a must read.

Addison has a hidden and terrible past that although we are aware of we don't see the whole picture until much later. She has kept fighting which makes me interested to know more.

Cole, however he is the devil himself and is hell bent on break Addison. No matter how evil his deeds are I was still drawn to him. He's definitely a man I will continue to love to hate.

The story has its mysteries throughout and there's never a dull moment in it. I didn't want to put it down and certainly didn't want it to end.

I would recommend to all thosewho love dark, bully,  Mafia romances that don't have triggers. Beware of these triggers as it is quite graphic where others have warming when it's just a mention or background detail. This is not the case here, but it is well wrote and thought out.

It is by far in my top reads for this year!

Angel by Kristine Allen

So worth the wait.

When I first read Voodoo the character Angel instantly had my attention for wanting more. This was exactly what I needed and Kristine Allen delivered.

Angel joined the RMBC and recently has become there enforcer he didn't get his name for doing good but after the Angel of Death.

His past comes back to haunt him though and it shows so much of who he is and of his childhood love of Korrie.Such amazing characters I was immediately engrossed.

It also has some bits of a running story of things I can't wait to see how they turn out. Especially more on Angel's sister Jasmine.

There are some trigger warnings for this book so if you have any please do check and make sure the book is for you.

I would definitely recommend to those MC Romance readers out there and I'm going to be on high alert for the next release Venom which I am off to preorder.

Lost Boy by Ker Dukey

Engrossed from the beginning.

As soon as I picked Lost Boy up I couldn't put it down. I was not expecting what I got but it definitely was amazing.

Ker Dukey made a more complex suspense filled storyline that was excellently executed. This was just amazing writing that had me on the edge of my seat waiting for where the rollercoaster ride was going to take me.

Lizzy is well developed character who still has nightmares of her past where her mother was murdered and her best friend torn away from her.

She has lived in fear for many years so when murders and strange things start up around her that have the signature of the Hollywell Slayer is back and out to get her.

I found this more pyscological thriller/suspense novel than romance but there is a touch in there.  What I liked is this added to the suspense and storyline rather than being an add on or over taking everything else.

An amazing standalone novel that I would definitely recommend. I also can't wait to read some more of this author myself!

Filthy Dark by Serena Akeroyd

The one I was waiting for.

Declan was a character I wanted to know more about sine I first read Filthy (previously released as The Air He Breathes).

We already knew he'd had a tragic past and lost his high school girlfriend but looks like nobody really knew the full story. Including him.

Aela left after Declan's girlfriend and her best friend died and no one knew that she had his son Seamus until the end of Filthy Rich.

The intricate world that author Serena Akeroyd writes its amazing I was not disappointed at all as the suspense had me on the edge of my seat with each page and the story unfolded.

There is still so many mysteries going on with both the Five Points men and breadcrumbs that link the stories with the Sinners MC as well that I just know that what comes next will be amazing and keep me wanting more.

These books just keep getting better and better. Highly recommend them all to other readers and can't wait to see what happens next with the other O'Donnelly brothers.

By Claire

Filthy by Serena Akeroyd

4/5 ☆ I Need A Finn in My Life

A great start introduction to Hell's Kitchens Irish American Mafia Family is made in this book which was originally released as a duet.

Finn O'Grady works for the O'Donnelly familys mob the Five Points and is trying to clear out a building so they can demolish and rebuild.

There's still however one stubborn tenant that keeps refusing his offers. He goes to Aiofe's (pronounced Ee-Fah) cafe to get her signature with bribery.

Finn does seem a bit of an A$$ at the beginning and also does pressure Aiofe into a sexual relationship at the beginning. Although you can tell she wants him aswell.

Finn's is quite quickly showing his more caring side and even while still possessive and domineering in the book he's quite clearly head over heels for her.

Aiofe is very submissive at the beginning but she soon comes out of her shell even if still more submissive in the bedroom.

The make a great couple and go through a lot in the book but you can't expect any different when it involves the Mob.

With secrets still being held and some more hunky single men around I for one can't wait to see how this will merge with the Filthy Feckers series that's starting.

Be warned book does contain strong and dirty language in parts. Exactly how I like it ;-)

Previously released as the The Air He Breathes

By Claire

Rescuing Mercy by Harley Stone

A spinoff from the Dead Presidents MC Series.

This still includes characters from the Dead Presidents but its focus is on Mercy. She is the Head of a Preschool that was for low income families.

This was very interesting to see ambitious clever and passionate women as the lead. Her job is so important to her and I think very important we have these women as leads in our books.

Even as lust developed between Mercy and Landon it doesn't make her career and accomplishments any less important. Landon is an army medic on leave visiting home for the first time in 7 years.

I was intrigued to know the story of him joining the army and getting to know the history between him and his mum.

Highlights of the book have to be the friendship of 2 of the kids in the preschool as well as the Dead Presidents MC helping out at Christmas.

Was nice read and would recommend to others but I feel like wanted a bit more. Think that's just me being greedy though!

Landing Eagle by Harley Stone

Finally we see whats been happening with those two.

There has been little hints that Eagle has had a past with presidents Link's sister Naomi and I have been dying to see what is going to happen with them as well as their history.

This book gives a completely different story again from within the MC as we see the lead up to what could be a relationship or a disaster between Eagle and Naomi.

Eagle has already lost the women he loved and hasn't dealt with what happend. Where Naomi is a kick a*s pedro pilot still in active military service.

There was a real rollercoaster ride in this book and bits felt a little rushed but not enough that I was unable to enjoy the story. I mainly loved Naomi as has such a clever and witty personality.

Bit more action packed than the other books as we wait to see if Eagle can protect Naomi or for that matter if he will even want to.

Definitely worth a read and so far The Dead Presidents MC Series is the one I am most likely to recommend.

Trapping Wasp by Harley Stone

Another great book from an amazing writer.

This gives another fascinating story in the Dead Presidents MC Series. We briefly saw Carly knocking back Wasp in Wreaking Havoc and good on her.

Wasp has been chasing her and loved that he didn't give up on what he wanted. But also that he saw that he wanted more than just a quick one night stand with her as well as so many MC books the men are so resistant to relationships this was more refreshing.

Carly is a strong women who's running for her past with her son Trent. Although obviously afraid I love how strong willed she is as well as the fact she wants to do things alone and her way.

Thing I loved most about the book though has to be that there was so many funny and humorous scenes that had me giggling away and so its not all doom and gloom. Though there are more serious bits in the book I lived for these parts.

Definitely recommend to MC Romance readers especially those who want something a bit different.

Creation by Lara Tramell

So not i was expecting.

After reading the prequel I don't know what I was expecting but it was not this. I sat down to read and missed the day as I did not want to put down.

Ariana was a great character to show her journey to becoming a supernatural Tantric Creature. It started with her and her friends Tina and Lory going on a unusual spiritual Bachelorette party.

This takes them all away to the Himalayas in India where the embark on their journey with Guide Brad. The descriptions of these amazing places just transported me to another place.

The writing was fantastic as we travelled through you really start to think of yourself and your own Karma. At same time I was engrossed in the story and how Ariana was changing right in front of us.

I would definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to dig into the next book Ascension. The drama at the end has me wanting more along plus I really need to see where this is going to go.

Initiation

This has me excited to read the series.

It is a short prequel of the Tantric Curse series.  I do love the world of Witch and Demons but I don't to read prequels often as find they are hard to squeeze that into.

This was the same im not really sure if there is a story there though it certainly will give me a little insight of the characters.

The world while it seems interesting seems like it has too much thrown at me for me to have grasp on it so I'm hoping as I get into the novels this will make a bit more sense.

Whiskey Tango by K.L Ramsey

Not all is as it seems.

This book shows so well that someone from wrong side of the tracks can be more than what it looks like on the outside. Appearances can be deceiving.

Luciana is the Mafia princess in Mexico looked up in her castle for her safety. Understably she can't wait to break free.

Whiskey is working for her father and he's a pilot. Some of the story you can see coming but it just fits so well with the characters.

I loved Whiskey so much as he had been through so much but you can see his devotion to Luci.

However, I wasn't as sure about her she seemed very sheltered but when she was out of the world while there must have been growth  there wasn't much to show it. I wanted a bit more from her.

I'm looking forward to more of K.L Ramsey's books and know that this RMBC has some spin offs to get me tided over until Dirty Ryder as I just know that he has so much of a story to give me.

I definite recommendation for MC and Mafia Fans. Although this is part of a series I will say it can be read as standalone.

If The Broom Fits by Sinclair Kelly

A fairytale or a joke?

I just loved this light funny book that takes me and 3 struggling people to an unknown world and turns them into a witch, ogre and a troll. Really they can't trust anyone but each other.

We go through the story looking for a way for them to get home. They become closer with each other and you start to get little bits of their pasts and current life at just the right bits. Definitely well written.

There is a lot of swearing, sexual thoughts and comments in this plus it turns into a menage situation so if these aren't for you please stop now and do not read.

This had me laughing so much and was exactly what I needed after some darker/emotional reads.

Downside well I was thinking really hard on this and the only thing I can think is that the rest aren't available yet. I am dying for the rest of the story. I cannot wait.

Would I recommend? Most definitely in fact I already have been. Grab this as soon as you can to take you to a brand new world.
