As Thick As Thieves by R.E. Bond

After cliffy of book 1, I honestly jumped into this as soon as was possible and it did not disappoint. It kicks off pretty much right where the last book ended and Penn has been going through hell. Her saviours come in the unexpected form, not from any of the Night Thieves but they are familiar faces and has me wanting more and more from this world. Penn and her new brotherly relationship had me in stitches as well as well as tugging at my heart strings.

There was fab one liners in this book that I absolutely loved. I also enjoyed watching the dynamics of the relationships and how they evolved. I however especially appreciated that even with her more forgiving kind heart that Stone still got what was coming to him. This remained very slow burn for the pair whilst things remain hot with the others.

I do hope that we get to see these guys in many more books in the future as honestly grew to love them all. I am heartbroken this duet is over but I know it won't only be a duet I recommend but also reread in the future. I also can't wait to read whatever else the author may come up with as well as reading and rereading her backlist.

No honor among thieves by R.E. Bond

Oh my ....

This is just I so so good. I loved Penn so much she has some great dry humour and is strong in her own way even if not as crazy as maybe some of the other fmc the author has she definitely is still nutty. She does after all quite happily let 2 of the guys kidnap her. The guys are also great after sneak peeks in the last couple books it was great to get some insight into their characters and lives at the compound.

Going into this I knew it wasn't a standalone but it didn't stop me screaming and throwing small fit at the end. I had to give it a couple days before trying to write review as was still in shock and couldnt form words.

I love this authors writing she has me completely invested in these books and the whole world she has built for them. I am looking forward to more of them and will be one click reads for me. I also plan to delve into her paranormal ones too I will be looking forward to that while I wait.

Walker by Jeanne St James

Oh, now this one I jumped straight into after finishing the last book. I am really flying through this series. I love second chances, and this was great in that the female actually left the man rather than the more common of the man doing something. It was also nice to see a disabled character featured in it. I'm still hooked on these guys and will be continuing to read the rest of the series.

Colt by Jules Ford

I have been dying to see Colt get his story and I was hooked from the start.

This is a forbidden love with age gap as Colt tries to fight his feelings for his Prez's daughter Fraya so instantly the trope appealed to me for this book. Freya and Colt are both extremely smart and seem so well suited for each other.

I will say Colt's behaviour throughout frustrated me a lot but at same time I was still routing for them to work it out so they could make it work. I also still loved the comedy aspects of the story and honestly thought at one point I wouldn't be able to stop laughing to finish the book. I did, but it took a while.

I'm now even more invested too in reading Daggers story the little snippets of his history have me needing to know more. Will be reading as soon as it's released for sure.

Cash by jules ford

Cash is a second-chance romance that had the MMC cheating before then going to prison. Now that he's out he wants Cara back and is prepared to do anything to get his way. There are a lot of points that might be triggering and honestly, I know not everyone will want to read. For me, this worked well as Cash does end up seeking actual help to deal with his issues rather than just turning up and being forgiven. The writing had me easily into the story and not needing to put it down. I especially love some of the one-liners and had me laughing out loud. I look forward to reading more from the Speed Demons MC and anything else the author has planned.

Hunter by Jeanne St James

Oh, this book had me just as gripped as the others in the series and I didn't put it down. Frankie is a firm fave of FMC being so handy with a baseball bat even through her fear. Was nice to see a single mum being in the mix of this series as single parents are one of my fave things to read.

Ryder by Jeanne st James

Oh wow after reading all of the Dirty Angels MC series it was nice to see Kelsea finally meeting her match. I had kind of guessed why her behavior had been out of control and was good to see her finally get it out even if Ryder had to whisk her off to make her face her demons. Also knowing Ryder had his own by the end they really needed a happy ending. I found myself really enraptured by the characters and in need of more. I will be jumping straight in with the next in the series.

Mercy by Jeanne St James

I only started this authors books last month but was hooked on the last series when saw Mercy (who featured in the MC books) I knew I had to read his story and abandoned my reading plans to jump in straight away and didn't put down until it finished. I loved the connection he and Parris developed I think her being a therapist it helped to show her understanding Mercy and his issues and had me captured to watch there journey I know I now need to read the rest of the teams books.

Riding hard by k.l Ramsey

This was a fan quick read for me Owen and Tilly seemed made for each other really and it was low angst which was exactly what I needed after previous read. For an mc read was little outside the normal to find one low in relationship drama but this was more focused on the pair being at his home while hiding her so it worked well for the story especially as mmc is ex military it really fit the dynamic of the characters. Author is definitely one will read more of.

Fighting the tide by c.a rene

With this I had no idea what to expect as it was out with the authors normal of books that I had previously read. However I was intrigued by a small town romance aspect and soon as picked up I didn't want to put down.

Thankfully as was ill I had tissues at the ready as I found myself very emotional during this read which isn't all that like me. While it could have been me being not well I certainly had been warned before hand.

I was completely shocked how much I enjoyed that it was only from the male pov but it really made me feel attached to him so much more.

The writing was superb and gripping as per usual for this author and I now know that even if falls outside previous books that I will still need to read it! Can't wait for whatever comes next.
